After achieving certification as an Industrial Administrator/ Manager in the pharmaceutical industry, Sigrid continued her education and studied Biology, earning a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry from the Ruprecht-Karls-University, Heidelberg, on research into therapeutics against HIV1. Since then, she has accrued more than twelve years experience in biomedical research, obtained in the pharmaceutical industry (Hoechst/Bayer), academia (University of Pennsylvania), and at the Research Institute of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Her focus as a medical writer centers on continuing medical education, primarily in oncology, but covering most topics, and also includes scientific manuscripts, reviews, and grant applications.

With an innate aptitude for writing, Sigrid has demonstrated her talent in her extensive bibliography, including high-impact journal publications, review articles, book chapters, poster publications, and grant proposals. Three of her co-authored NIH grant proposals received funding at first submission. With her expertise in a broad range of biomedical research topics, Sigrid has the capacity to communicate a diverse spectrum of medical and scientific topics knowledgeably and effectively.
